Lucy Thompson was lucky enough to have a short documentary made about her nipple tattoo work by the BBC in 2018.
Lucy Thompson is the first person in the UK to be trained to give women ‘3D’ Areola Restorative Tattoos (A.R.T.), a technique developed in the US, after her aunt had a mastectomy.
The Yorkshire tattoo artist trained in America to perfect the technique, but there are other 3D tattoo approaches and methods available in the UK.
“I realised the psychological and physical importance of doing scar covering,” said the 28-year-old in 2018.
